A St. Monica School Catholic education incorporates the hallmarks of traditional Catholic education and pairs it with contemporary instructional practices. St. Monica students grow spiritually through their religion lessons, frequent liturgical celebrations (including weekly masses), virtues and saints of the month, and community service. Our program focuses on educating the whole child and prepares each student to enter high school and the world as a well-rounded global citizen.

The school supports continuous improvement in student achievement and the curriculum is designed to meet the needs of the students providing them with 21st Century Skills to be competitive and successful throughout life.
St. Monica School offers extracurricular activities including basketball and volleyball teams, bowling, and a street hockey program. Seasonal clubs are offered like art, drama, and karate.
The curriculum at St. Monica is enhanced by the daily use of technology in each classroom. We have a 1 : 1 Chromebook ratio for students in Kindergarten through Grade 8. The technology curriculum includes coding, keyboarding, digital citizenship, proper use of the internet for communication and research, and provides students the opportunity to learn various software programs (i.e. Google Docs, Slides, and Sheets) and apply it to their school work. Teachers enhance daily instruction through the use of programs like Google Classroom, NEARpod, and Mystery Science. In addition, much of the curriculum and tools are accessible online enabling, the school to be adaptable to various learning environments and styles.
